Hitting the ball

Well once again we came up short, oh well. I have a new way of hitting the ball, see what I do is swing as hard as I can, hit the ball on top to make it a grounder, the only problem is, it doesn't roll, it hits the ground about six inches in front of me and stays there. I run as fast as I can but the ball seems to beat me to 1st base. This is two games in a row this has happened. I am gonna name this hit the Blevins Bunt. Anyone wanting to learn it, reconsider NOW.

My middle son, Tyler came over this weekend, and since I have wood left from my cabinet him and I built a bird house together and are starting a shadow box for my military medals. He is excited about that, he learned to read a tape measure and use a Skilsaw, he also nailed it together by himself, it looks pretty good. Later we're gonna hang it in the backyard and see how the birds like it.

Disrespect

Brian and I have been holding our Wendsday bible class outside and the kids have been really reseptive to what we've been doing. Last night though we took it inside, and got nothing but disrespect. We did 1Sam. 1-20 and 2-10, the story of Hannah, and how consistancy in prayer can lead to spiritual discipline, these guys made a mochery of the story. However I refuse to give up on these guys like everyone else has in their lives. Wish us luck.

Well between yesterday and today a friend of mine and myself built Krista a storage cabinet for our exercise equipment. This thing is 8 feet tall, a little over 5 feet long and 5 feet deep. yesterday we got the sides put together so today I was left with the top and the doors, I am not a carpenter, but I did a pretty good job if I do say so myself. Krista is happy with it, it just needs to be painted, have the hardware put on and the trim put on. I took Cauy to Home Depot with me to get the MAN STUFF and got him a Home Depot nail pouch, he got his Little Tikes tools and helped daddy.
We lost our softball game saturday to Temple 16-3, I myself had a great hit LOL, it landed 6 inches in front of me. Bad thing is, Krista was there to see it. Oh well, better luck to us Monday.

And of course the only person to respond to me is my dear wife, who is only concerned about the honey do list lol.

Yesterday was the first day of my vacation, and on the way to church i had to have a friend make a traffic stop for me on a lady that decided to pass on a double yellow and almost hit me, what a way to start off. Now it is supposed to rain for the next three days, so Cauy and I are stuck in the house. We were gonna do MAN STUFF but so much for that.

This is the first blog I have done, so we'll see how it turns out. I'm back on mid-nights and loving it although my body hasn't gotten adjusted yet. I have to work tonight but then i'm off for a week. Krista already has a "honey-do" list ready and waiting, so it looks like Cauy and I will be doing Man Stuff, wish us luck.

Myself and Brian are teaching a class at church for innercity youth, that is going well the five regulars we have are a lot of fun and have some good ideas. Krista talked me into joining the softball team and although i havent played since i was about 9 i'm having a good time and the guys on the team have made me feel welcome, we won our first game as im sure everyone has already heard.
